SOCIAL EXPERIENCE LEAGUE: This means that you play in this league as an individual. You earn ponits individually and get allocated to a new team every week. With great weekly prizes and a real sense of social camaraderie, this is the best way to make friends through sport.

SKILL LEVEL: This league is for all skill levels. Learner, beginner, experienced, or intermediate, we are all here for one reason, and that's to have fun, get fit, and try something different. Make sure you are ready to show up with a fun first attitude.

TEAM SIZE: There are 9 people required on the field at all times. Minimum 2 of either gender at any time. We recommend having a team list of at least 12 people to allow for subs, and players attendance. Click to view Team Roster Instructions and Default & Subs Policy.

OUTDOOR DIAMONDS: The diamonds are subject to Inner West Council’s wet weather policy. Urban Rec has no control of when fields are open or closed. If games need to be cancelled for any reason, we will notify everyone via email by 10:30am. All games will be re-scheduled and played.

TEAM REGISTRATION:  Team rego is payable upfront, and that fee is all you will have to pay. You can choose how many people you’d like to have on the team, and you can have as many subs as you need. To view fees for Team Registration, scroll to the bottom of this page, and choose your league.

INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION (URBAN REC): Don’t have a team? No problem, register as an individual for $135 for the 10-week season, and we will match you with a team. Once the team is formed, you guys pick a Captain, and operate like a normal Urban Rec team. Individual Player FAQs and Individual Teams Policy.

YOUR DEDICATED STAFF: Your Event Host is Terry. The Event Host is in charge of running the games, teaching you the rules, and coaching you and the teamas needed. Your League Manager is Lindsay! Contact her about changes to the schedule, or any other questions.

WHAT TO BRING:  With the exception of a glove, we provide all the equipment you need. Please note that YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN GLOVE.  Wear normal runners, active wear. Make sure you bring a black, and a white t-shirt each week. Your team do have the option to nominate a team colour, but make sure you talk to your League Manager before you order anything.

GETTING THERE: Mahoney Reserve Illawarra Rd, Marrickville Mahoney Reserve is located in Marrickville. It’s about a 15 min walk from Marrickville Station, which has regular services from the city. There is also the 423 and L23 which run along Illawarra Rd, from Martin Place, Sydney Uni, Newtown and Enmore. If you are driving, there is usually ample parking along Wharf Rd. As you approach look for the Urban Rec flags, and give yourself plenty of time arriving for the first week. There are toilets on site which can be used as changerooms.
